Today would have been the seventieth birthday of Beatle, Krishna devotee and all round coolest man of the 60s George Harrison. the quiet, almost monosyllabic one. the darkly brilliant, spotlight shunning (well, as far as a Beatle could) genius, who wrote the best songs and was the real creative driving force behind the band.

So heres a little selection of what  I feel are some of his best works, from Beatles to solo… the Mersey Sound to abstract experimentalism…. Enjoy.

He always had such a quiet, lovely sensitivity. Great songs that you chose for his birthday.

I hate that I forgot his birthday. But it’s always nice to hear a little George. He never fails to make me smile.
